Gum Care & Pyorrhea Treatment

Bleeding gums while brushing is the earliest sign of gum disease — and the stage at which it's completely reversible with professional cleaning. Ignored, it progresses to pyorrhea (periodontitis): the bone supporting the teeth dissolves, teeth loosen, and breath worsens.

Treatment depends on the stage: scaling for early disease, deep cleaning (root planing) for moderate disease, and minor gum procedures for advanced cases. The goal is always to save your natural teeth.

Gum disease is also linked to diabetes and heart health — treating it is an investment in more than your smile.

Frequently asked questions

My gums bleed when I brush. Is that normal?

No — healthy gums don't bleed. Bleeding means inflammation from plaque and tartar, and it's the best time to act: at this stage a professional cleaning fully reverses it.

Can loose teeth become firm again?

Mildly loose teeth often tighten after gum treatment as inflammation resolves. Severely loose teeth may need splinting or, eventually, replacement — early treatment is what prevents reaching that stage.
